Nirvana is set on the slope of a lush green valley – perfect for a romantic hideaway or escape from daily life. The cottage was built in 2017 and features a bed room with king size canopy bed and connecting bathroom with a hot shower.
It is with great passion I built this cottage, incorporating details such as fine Balinese woodcut, custom tiling and an airy front terrace with perfect views over the valley. As a landscape designer, I have created the surrounding garden with tranquillity in mind and am happy to share this with you. There is a nice breeze out here and the temperatures are pleasantly cooler than other parts of Bali, so no need for air conditioning. Although the cottage is very private, there is another house next door. Big plants provide a lot of privacy. You can see the listed photo’s as a reference. A breakfast with eggs or pancakes and fresh fruit is included – we can also provide vegan breakfasts on request for our guests.
The cottage is a great base from which to explore the area. You can for example have a hike in the rice terraces , visit nearby villages, the temple of Pura Besakih and Pura Pasar Agung, waterfalls like Tukad Cepung, the palace garden of Bukit Tirta Gangga, do yoga classes etc. If you are here during the right time, you can also experience one of the often-held temple ceremonies. Here in Selat, things are still traditional and offer you the real side of Bali.
You have access to the entire house and it’s all yours, so make yourself comfortable.
